Have you heard? Amazon is coming to Ottawa!

Last week there was some great news released that will significantly impact Ottawa's local economy and community. Amazon will be establishing its new fulfillment centre in the east end of our city which will also provide significant employment opportunities for our residents!

They currently house over 6,000 associates and employees across Canada and their new workforce within Orleans will add approx 600 full-time staff. On top of that, building this 1 million square foot facility will require a 1,500-person construction team.

There hasn't been an official announcement for when the hiring process will begin but Amazon is known to offer competitive hourly wages, medical, vision and dental coverage, group RRSP, stock options and performance-based bonuses.

Many home values have continued to increase throughout the city over the past year as we've swung from a strong buyers market, into balanced and now sellers market in many communities. Some of the price jumps are quite impressive! In neighborhoods like Manotick, Kanata and Barrhaven we're se ...

We’d always suggest getting everything organised a few months before. A few things to think about to help establish your timeline… when did you want to be moved into your new home? Now from that final date, we can work back and figure out when you should start the process. Once an offer is received on your home, a typical closing date is 60 days (on average). The time it will take to receive that offer ...
